Terhills Hotel - Maasmechelen

AN INSPIRED HOTEL!

When I was planning our European holiday, I stumbled upon Maasmechelen when Terhills Hotel came up in suggestions. Where was it? What was around there that was worth seeing? Was the hotel as good as it looked? Maasmechelen is around 15-20 minutes across the Mass River from the more famous Dutch city of Maastricht. The Maasmechelen Outlet Village is just behind the hotel, and my wife loved it! So we headed out there. And nearly in every way, Terhills impressed us. A pretty hotel in a grand hotel style. Big, stylish rooms with a magical bathroom. Wonderful public areas both inside and out. Nice, amenable staff. The only minor quibbles are the lack of a doorman (but not a necessity) and being a 4 star, no breakfast included. Having said that, the hotel presents like a 5 star, so it is hard to be critical of such a lovely, atmospheric hotel. We definitely will return one day, but this time, we want to stay longer and really enjoy all that this marvellous hotel has to offer. Check it out, because you will be glad that you did!
