Hilton Antwerp Old Town - Antwerp

CENTRAL LOCATION!

The Hilton Antwerp Old Town occupies a marvellous heritage building in a centrally located hotel on Groenplaats, within easy walking distance of all Antwerp's major sights. The hotel is somewhat hard to get to, due to being in a pedestrian zone, and the front door facing a side street that is convoluted to get to. There is no door staff, so a couple of female desk staff came out to help me with my luggage which was most appreciated. The room we were allotted is in the "modern" section of the hotel. The room itself was very large, but dated. The hotel is in need of refurbishment to bring it up to a standard worthy of the Hilton marque. A four star that does not have breakfast included is rather disappointing, and when we checked out, we had someone's bar tab added to our bill (we did not visit the bar) , but the desk clerk was a jolly nice chap and corrected the mistake. All good. Car parking is self parking regrettably, but, it is a minor quibble. In terms of location, the Hilton Antwerp Old Town, cannot be beaten. It is definitely an ideal hotel to explore the beauty of Antwerp.
