Savoy Westend Hotel - Karlovy Vary

OLD CARLSBAD AT ITS BEST!

We wanted to visit Karlovy Vary because of its storied history a spa town for European nobles in its previous avatar as Carlsbad. The Savoy Westend Hotel, a Belle Epoque gem that was established in 1897 suited our tastes in what a hotel should be down to the ground. Absolutely grand buildings (there are more than one), excellent service and our room was lovely. Breakfast was superb and the Russian atmosphere was great! Yes, it is a hotbed for Russian tourists which we didn't mind one bit! The hotel is a short drive into the centre of town, and Karlovy Vary has a magical aura all its own. The Savoy Westend Hotel is a perfect base to explore the beauty of this corner of the Czech Republic. We cannot wait to go back!
