Imperial Palace - Annecy

SPECTACULAR VIEWS FROM THIS BELLE EPOQUE CLASSIC!

Okay, so it is not a 5 star hotel. But the Belle Epoque classic architecture, the storied history of all the famous guests, and not least, the stunning lake front location, make the L'Imperial Palace a must experience hotel if you are visiting beautiful Annecy in the French Alps. Our elevated room offered a spectacular lake vista that took the breath away. The room was OK without being unbelievable. But the view! Oh my word! The lounge and restaurants are nice, but with some investment, the L'Imperial Palace is a sleeping giant that could dazzle all comers yet again as it did back in it's Belle Epoque hey-day. We enjoyed our stay here, but keep in mind, while the exterior of the hotel is majestic in the strictest sense of the word, the interior is very much a four star business hotel type of standard. Certainly nothing bad about it, but not unbelievable either. If you keep that in perspective, you will enjoy your stay here and enjoy Annecy.
