The Magical Negresco!

The best way to sum up the iconic Hotel Negresco is that it is a museum/art gallery that happens to have guest rooms. Everywhere you look around this grand old dame, you will see historical artifacts of the finest art. The room itself was old world with an emphasis on "old". Don't expect a modern style hotel room. While it still has a marvellous marble bathroom and an LCD TV, the emphasis is on recreating a Louis XVI style. The piano/cocktail lounge was absolutely fantastic every night and the location of the Negresco being directly across the road from the beach is an obvious plus. If you are staying in Nice, the Negresco is the place to be!
